The Art Room Needs YOU!
We are gearing up for a 5th grade tradition and WE NEED parents, grandparents, au pairs… any adult hands who can assist! No experience necessary:)
Fifth graders will be sewing a quilt to sell at our fundraising auction in the Spring. Each student will be hand stitching a patch over the next 2 weeks of art class. I need parents at the following times to help thread needles, tie knots and help supervise (training provided).
5Cantu- 2/27 and 3/6 8:45-9:35
5Calhoun- 2/27 and 3/6 9:35-10:20
5Cassidy- 2/28 and 3/7 8:45-9:35
5Mentzer- 2/29 and 3/8 8:45-9:35
5Wojtas- 3/1 and 3/11 8:45-9:35
5Bell- 3/4 and 3/12 8:45-9:35
We will begin sewing the patches together during 5th grade lunch and recess (12:50-1:50) beginning the second week of March. If you have any experience on a sewing machine and would be willing to help supervise our 5th grade sewers, please let me know!
Thank you in advance for helping to keep this tradition alive!!! It takes a village to make a quilt with kids:-P
