Lafayette hosts virtual and in-person informational sessions with tours throughout the school year to give prospective families the opportunity to learn about our school. The Lafayette leadership team will give a brief presentation, host Q&A, and guide you on a brief tour of a portion of the building, when in-person.
No need to RSVP for the in-person sessions. To receive the link for the virtual sessions, please fill out this brief form and it will be sent the week of the event.

How to Enroll
Please note that the school does not need hard copies of your forms or paperwork unless it is helpful to you. It is preferred to submit documents online at Aspen Logon (dc.gov), whenever possible.
If you are interested in enrolling your child at Lafayette, the process varies depending on whether your student resides in or out of Lafayette’s boundary lines.
To discover if your student is in or out of our boundary, please check your address at https://enrolldcps.dc.gov/node/41.
In-Boundary families are guaranteed a spot at Lafayette in grades Kindergarten through 5th. Out-of-Boundary families must apply to the DCPS Lottery at myschooldc.org. PK4 families who are both In and Out-of Boundary must apply to the lottery at myschooldc.org.
The enrollment season for SY 2025-26 school year opens on March 28th and is ongoing. Please complete SY25-26 enrollment by following two steps:
- Complete the online DCPS enrollment packet at Enrolldcps.dc.gov (ask the main office if you need a paper copy)
- Submit Valid Proof of DC Residency. Examples of residency documents are listed below. You can attach and and submit these documents at the end of the online Enrollment Packet (linked above).
