The HSA DEI Media Club will host Mark Charles, Native American (Navajo Diné) book author and TedTalk speaker, on December 1 at 7 pm via zoom!
As our children grow older and become more aware of the political climate questions inevitably come up:
Why are women’s rights being challenged? Why are there so many injustices based on identity, religion, and sexual orientation? How do we drive change?
Join us as Mark Charles provides a fresh perspective on the history of the constitution, papal bulls, and the doctrine of discovery in an effort to examine what has shaped our culture and institutions today. Q & A to follow.
There is NO required reading for this event. If you happened to be interested in his book please contact the Lafayette HSA DEI Media club—there is a limited book supply.
This event is in collaboration with the Alice Deal Community Association DEI Media Club. If you have a rising Deal 6th grader and are interested in getting involved in the DEI committee next year, please email .
