| Dear Lafayette ES Community, |
| Although it is only May, I am already looking forward to this fall when I will be able to welcome students, teachers, and families back for the 2024-25 school year as the Principal of Lafayette. I recognize and am humbled by the incredible work that has been done at Lafayette over the years and am excited to partner with each of you as we look ahead to the future. |
| I am eager to begin engaging in thoughtful discussions with new and returning members of the Lafayette community to find out more about the strengths we should continue to build on and the aspirations we should strive towards. To ensure that the priorities we outline are strategic, inclusive of diverse perspectives, and clearly communicated to all stakeholders I have three objectives for my first year at Lafayette ES: |
| ·Establish trusting relationships. I will create and join pre-existing opportunities to engage with various stakeholders, including Lafayette students, staff, families, and community partners. I will communicate information consistently and equitably. |
| ·Think strategically about opportunities for shared leadership. I will learn about the skills, interests, and passions of the individuals and teams at Lafayette so that I can cultivate a culture of collaboration. |
| ·Create a plan that leverages our strengths to drive student success. After collecting this rich information, I will create a draft plan to present to our community. This will give us a shared knowledge foundation and ensure we hear all voices as we move forward together. |
| I will be sharing more details about the specific actions I will take to meet those objectives soon, but in the meantime I would like to begin getting to know each of you! On Thursday, May 30, 2024 I will be by the flagpole for an informal meet and greet from 8:00-9:00am. |
