Because March 14th is a conference day, we will celebrate all things circular on Wednesday, March 13th! On this day, dedicated to the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, we will have our Pi recitation contest, in which students try to recite as many digits of Pi as they can. Any student in grades 1-5 is welcome to pick up the first several hundred digits of Pi in the Math Center and work to memorize them. This year students MUST sign up ahead of time to help us plan for space and scheduling, so all students who are interested should ask their teachers to add their names to the list. We will be awarding prizes for each grade level and anyone who enters gets a little prize. More details to come…
