It’s been a joy having your students back in the library. Below is information about the library, our online collection, and free tutoring. I encourage you to explore Sora with your students, as well as the other resources that I have gathered on the Lafayette Library website. If you have questions, please email .
Thanks, and happy reading!

Borrowing Guidelines
All students have borrowing privileges at Lafayette. DCPS requires families to replace lost and ruined books. Please help your students keep track of their books and keep them away from leaky water bottles, mealtimes, rainy days, dogs, teething babies and other pitfalls. You can see what your student has checked out anytime by logging onto our online catalog, Destiny Discover, from Clever or the library website.
eBooks, Audiobooks and Magazines
We’re lucky to have a fantastic print collection, but we also have great ebooks, audiobooks and magazines available through Sora! Students can read/listen using a browser, the app or e-readers like Kindle or Kobo. They log into Sora through Clever. Students also have access to DCPL’s digital collection, no library card needed! See the attached flyer for more information.
Book Fair
We will have our Scholastic book fair on December 4th through 8th. If you are available to help with the fair this year, please sign up for shifts! Book fairs are a blast!
